In 2023, the BMW Group reported delivering 99,972 all-electric vehicles in the Chinese market, marking a remarkable year-on-year increase of over 138%. The surge in sales of new energy vehicles in China has driven demand for charging and energy supplementation equipment.
By the end of the same year, BMW’s public charging network boasted access to over 580,000 public charging piles across the country, spanning more than 320 cities.
In August 2023, BMW initiated a supercharging station program featuring high-power charging pile supports with up to 600 kilowatts of charging power.
By the end of the year, 50 such stations were established in China, covering 17 first and second-tier cities. Overall, in 2023, the BMW Group delivered over 820,000 BMW and MINI vehicles in the Chinese market.
